IKEA hacking

N is a wonderful resource of internet juju.  Recently he came across a fun blog that talks about all the non original, creative uses of inexpensive items found at IKEA.

This site got me thinking about all the re-purposed items I have used creatively around my own house.  For example, as I sit and type this blog, the things found just at my desk alone include the following:

  • antique silver British toast caddy, now letter and card holder
  • antique flower frog, now pen holder
  • drinking glass, now water color pencil display
  • antique silver butter knife, now letter opener

What wonderful little items are floating around your world just waiting to debut as something new?
