Gloom & Doom In 2012

Someone recently asked me with a hint of trepidation in their voice for my opinion about all the predictions and prophecies for the ending of the Mayan calendar on December 2012.

In response, in a nut shell these are my thoughts and feelings about it if they could be heard by a listener using synesthesia:

Zhao Yao, An Action of Thought – II (detail), 2012, graphic design, two-sided print, 21 x 27 cm

And this is my personal theme song to accompany those thoughts for this year…

i can sense it
something important
is about to happen
it’s coming up

something huge is coming up
and we’re both included

it takes courage to enjoy it
the hardcore and the gentle
big time sensuality

To any precious gloom & doomers out there, what an interesting, yet chicken sh*t little monkey mind way to look at your fears. It takes passion and COURAGE to enjoy the ride here on earth…

…IF the end of the world does come at 11:11 December 21, 2012, you are welcome to join me because wherever I am, there will be a massive party going on.  Sh*ft can and does happen when we are growing and in my book it always is a good thing.

And in the immortal and brilliant words of Cypher, “Buckle your seat belt Dorothy, ’cause Kansas is going bye-bye!”.  If it does go, on to the next adventure in whatever form it is. I don’t necessarily think that not having the ability to vote republican or democrat in Topeka would be a bad thing.  🙂
